Here is a little about us and our dogs…

We are the owners of Honey Lake Mini Aussies, Breeders of Top Quality Miniature Australian Shepherds since 2007. In 2010 we discovered the Aussiedoodle, I was enthralled at how adorable and personable the Aussiedoodles were, so I began my research on the cross. We purchased a well-bred AKC Mini Poodle and began crossing the Mini Poodle to our Toy Aussie male and had much success, we noticed the vast difference in intelligence at a very young age, and these little pups were super social, easy to train and had wonderful, soft, lovely coats. Our success didn’t stop there our clients also agreed how wonderful this cross was, our pups went on to excel in obedience classes as well as agility. With such great progress we have become more involved with the Aussiedoodle due to the high demand, we began our Breeding program with Aussiedoodles starting Cafe Au Lait Aussiedoodles, LLC,  we are excited with the outcome of our program and look forward to sharing our success with more families.

More about us as people…

I (Lindsay) grew up in the Santa Ynez Valley California, which sits along the beautiful Central Coast of California about 30 minutes from Santa Barbara Ca. I am a daughter of a Veterinarian of both exotic and domestic animals and former owner of Solvang Veterinary Hospital.  My mother was a successful Dog Breeder, Cat Breeder and also Arabian Horse Breeder for many years. I grew up riding and showing horses and also showing cats. I worked along side my parents for many years and have gleaned from their knowledge on raising animals the right way, including proper vaccinations, deworming schedules as well as vitamin health for all of our animals.  I am so thankful for the privileges I’ve had to be able to offer a successful Breeding program due to the constant counsel I have received from my Parents, which in turn goes out to all of our customers in purchasing a puppy started right from the beginning. My two children, now young adults also benefit from our critters, both have shown horses and are very accomplished in their riding skills as well as helping out in the kennel daily, they enjoy raising the puppies, caring for the dogs and even help train the puppies.
